Hands-Free Scattershot

This is a way of playing Scattershot at times you don't have a table, dice or a persona write-up.

It works especially well for long road-trips, quiet restaurants, walks in the park and of course hiking.

How It Works

Until I recover my notes, I can only give you the gist of it.

Randomizing is basically avoided; when you need it, the person who has to 'roll' must guess a number thought of by another person. This is not limited to players guessing a gamemaster's number; any other player can pick the number as well.

When the guess is correct, it is considered a telling blow. When the guess is incorrect I have a clever math-trick1) that turns the difference into RMIbs both positive and negative.

When Will It be Done

This isn't a high priority so the game will be well playtested before I return to this.

Fang Langford

1) Yet another disincentive for making a 'roll'.
